I don't think they do. Dispite all the hype about one branch having too much power and all the under the tabel stuff going on. Every branch keeps the other 2 in control. if this wasn't happening right this moment the govern. would be in ruins. :)

It's not so much the decision of government policies ... it's actually carrying them out single-handedly, without consulting Congress.

The President is supposed to lead, set policy, and be the voice for the American people. Ronald Reagan was skilled at getting Congress to implement his policies (not that they all were good, but he was effective in getting results).

Jimmy Carter had excellent ideas, but was not successful in getting Congress to go along with him.

G. W. Bush is trying to bypass Congress and run the country by executive order. This wouldn't be as bad if Bush wasn't a complete p*ckerhead.

IT'S THE EXECUTIVE BODY'S RESPONSIBILITY TO DECIDE POLICIES.

So why should that constitute too much power?
