What are the first thoughts to come mind?

the people , the history, the language, places like ishfahan, shiraz, . Iran has always been special to me. I am not a very political person (try not to be). But when i hear the name Iran i look or if i hear it on the street i smile and want to talk to them.
I quess i become a little sad that its so cut off ill probably never get there . And with all the turmoil now. I think of that also

The first thing I think is "I love Persian people!!"
Hehe. Now, I know that's silly, because I'm sure I would not like ALL Persian people (and for sure all Persian people would not like me!). But all the Persians I've met so far, I've really liked. Maybe it's because I met them here in the U.S., so I'm only meeting Persians who feel favorably toward Americans.
The second thing I think is "Woooo! Their leader is crazy!"

A proud country that thinks very differently than the western world and doesn't feel that the western world should boss it around and tell it what to do.

I think about the poor people over there that have to be in the middle of this senseless war. I know i wouldn't want the war in my back yard!
