im an adult, my mom comes in my room EVERY single night and sits on my bed to ask me what i did if was suppose to go out. Im 24. I was suppose to just go out for coffee with a friend for an hour and she needs to know every little **** i do. She even asked my brother "did ur sister go out" my brother gets annoyed because he dosn't keep "track" of me. We just had a screaming session because she just left my room because i refused to tell her what i did tonight and what i talked about with my friend. I sware to God i think i lived in an enmeshed family. ever hear of that term?

my mom is a bitchy, dominant, too controlling woman, she yells and screams at everything and has anger issues. She never sat on the edge of my bed when i was younger . I only live at home because i just finished school and in process of getting a job to make money and move out. You don't understand my full situation, my mom is too involved in my life, that is why i vented tonight

I never left the house yet, i just finished with my master's degree, unfortuantely i live on long island, which is very expense place to live. Apartments on average here are like 1200-1400 for a regular basement apartment alone. I obviously can't go anywhere until i work and save up first

At the age of 24, have you considered moving out and getting your own place? Preferaby far enough away from mother to where she can't drive over and drop in and it is long distance to call you. Parents tend to think that because the adult kids still live at home, parents are entitled to know every little detail of the kids' lives.

you and your brother should show your mother a little more respect than that. first you are 24 and still living under her roof? moms dont know how to be anything but moms and when their children grow up they dont see them as adults only as their children, how in the hell else do you expect your mother to communicate with you but to ask questions? I bet that your mother use to come and sit at the edge of your bed everynight and have a small talk with you about your day when you were a child didnt she? you loved it then didnt you ? you hate it now? when your mother is dead and gone you will wish and be willing to give anything just for one more night with her sitting on the edge of your bed just to talk about your day. you and your brother need to grow up, move out and show some respect and return some love instead of being a spoiled brat.
