They just sit in the car and yap about their crappy day ,like their cell phone battery died, or how high the food prices are .

Because it's a commercial, it's an entertaining way for Sonic to advertise their food. And here's a quick no lie trivia fact: The original two guys they always used in their commercials were actually guys who filmed themselves "pestering" and "pranking" people at the Sonic drive-thrus and posted their videos on the net and stuff, well Sonic saw these videos and instead of filing a law-suit, they .. you guessed it, hired them for commercials. And of course their "pre-commercial" pranks weren't about how good the food was, they were a little more mischevious lol, like ordering food and right when they got to the window they sped off.

What I want to know is,why they show Sonics ads in Maryland,when there are no Sonics in the state.And the nearest one is halfway across Virginia,3 or 4 hours away from the tv station viewing area.No way is the food that good!

I agree with fish and dukefenton...I live in downstate Illinois and can't even find someone who knows where the closest sonic might be....there definitely aren't any here. Maybe Chicago or St Louis, which are both 180 miles from where I live.....interesting.

I'd be more interested in knowing why they paid good money to have these commercials in heavy rotation, in areas where they don't have any stores? (Yes, you can have TV ads shown only in certain regions, even on a national show.)
I like Sonic but I'd have to drive 400 miles to the nearest one.

I personally enjoy the Sonic commercials, I think they're funny! Especially the one where the one guy wonders if bacon and cheese are friends like the two guys are, and he's like "Bacon sounds awesome. I wanna hang with Bacon!" And then the one where they're eating the banana splits and he's like "You don't know me, dude... You don't know me" or something like that. Haha. Maybe it's just me.

i have no idea. maybe because sonic's food is so good? i wouldnt know, ive never been there, but maybe theyre subliminally saying "sonic is so good you dont even have to be hungry to enjoy!" *shrugs* i really want a jr. banana split, though.
