You might have a canker sore in your throat. If you were sick last month your defenses may be down and those sores can get started. My husband gets those in his mouth and occasionally in his throat and it just takes time for them to go away. (1-2 weeks sometimes)

Is there anything in the vincity of where you live that might have something you are alergic too? that is affecting you at night? If you can't find a plant or something around your house then go ahead to the doctor, it doesn't cost much and it helps in the run if you do have something bad.. I hope you feel better soon!

It could be the air in your house... sometimes if things to dry in my APT, I wake up with a dry sore throat and it goes away after I drink something.
You might want to try out a humidifier.

I wouldn't go to the doctor if you don't feel sick. It's a waste of money an time. Drink plenty of fluids and give it some time to pass. Your body can heal itself in most cases.

Try changing your sheets for starts.. it may be a type of allergen lurking.. Dust your room and clean it really good. Try that then wait two days (ish) and see if it is any better. If not try the doctor. :)
