sorry if its a stupid question i was just wondering what i would do in that situation so i figured i would ask everyone.
i saw on the news about a store getting robbed and i started thinking about it

Not a stupid question at all. A couple of years ago I was working at a conveinence store when a car pulled up to get gas? It was one of those off the road deals with just gas and snacks.
It was June and very hot so I had the door propped open? I saw the one guy start to pump gas. And the other guy came up to the door and ask to use the phone saying the truck wouldn't start and he needed to call his boss?
I said OK, but I would have to dial the number and I handed him the phone? I looked out the window and noticed the guy pumping the gas wasn't there?
The guy with the phone handed it back to me and said
"this is a robbery, hand me all the cash."
Well I sorta laughed and took the phone and told him to leave, he said "I ain't kiddin' *****, give me the money"
I took the broken broom handle that was used to prop the door and hit the guy across the back several times and he went running to their truck, the guy that was pumping the gas was getting into the truck. I hit him across the leg and arms. The 2 guys jumped into the truck and drove off? I got a tag number.
I called the Police.......they made a report. The 2 guys had left the place I worked at and went 2 exits up and robbed a girl at gunpoint.
The Police caught the guys the next day. They lived across the street from the place I worked. The Police had traced the tag. The guys said they used a gun on the next girl because the crazy woman at the BP had hit them with a broom.
The guys even showed the Cops the black and blue marks on their backs and legs!
But what they train you to do is very different.......
you should be compliant, do whatever they say, give the money over, but never GO with them. And NEVER "look" at the person. Give them whatever they ask for. "Money" is never worth YOUR life.
I happen to be a little tougher then some, and a little more skilled.
I was lucky is all.

Well if you want to stay alive, then you don't do anything. Just let the creeps take the money and run. Pretty stupid though, why would one rob a store that has all kinds of security cameras in it. They seem to always get caught. Not a secure way to make a living, lol.
P.S. To the cop in the room metrosexo, FREEZE COPPA.

Well one time I worked 2nd shift and I was about 22 or so, this big, huge fat black guy was waddling outta HY-Vee store when I was @ the register w/some food and the manager ran up and put his hands against his belly trying to push screaming @ the top of his lungs," STOP, STOP"!!!
I wanted to go up behind the dude and try and throw the guy down but I was scared I didn't want to get in trouble for hurting the guy he coulda kicked my a s s too, but I'm not really scared of that I am fit and can run faster.
So anyway, they manager gives up and the fat black guy keeps waddling away and when I ledft w/groceries I see about 3 cop cars pull up the guy was by the mall about 200yds. away.
A couple nights later I asked the checkout lady ( the same one ) what happened she said that guy shoved some steaks in his pockets and tried to get away. She said it took a couple cops macing and beating him down to restrain him. I wonder what I could have done that time but oh well...

If I worked in a store and a robber came up to me, I think I'd just give him all the money and then when he's walking away, I'd pull out a 9 mm and shoot him in the back of the head. Or if I didn't have a gun, I'd get like a big jar of pickles and hurl that at his head.
