How do I use my [exactly step by step] to scan say a photo or other items USING MY COMPUTER then pull the document or photo into my computer from the scanner? I am not very clever at computers any Ideas?

For me I have to go into the start button and there's a spot that says printers and faxes once I click that I then hit scanners on the left side a screen will come up I put my item to be scanned on the glass if a pic or in the doc. feed tray if paper click start and it scans and automatically saves it for me to my picture file which it displays for me exactly where it is saving it and walla I have successfully scanned an image into my computer. You don't mention the brand. I have an Epson. All I have to do is put the picture on the glass, close the lid, push the "scan" button and follow the instructions on my computer. They basically are asking me how I want to save the image and in which file.
