I want to make a PHP directory website.
Can you help the steps i should take for that?
(which files i should download).
I have
-Win XP SP2
-PHP 5 downloaded,IIS will be enabled

Go to http://www.sourceforge.net
Look up "php directory"
Choose any of the roughly 10 billion solutions that will pop up.
Download it
Install it on one of the free hosts you can find here:

I definately agree on the apache suggestion. I would go one step further and recommend installing Linux instead of Windows. You have more options as far as configuration and extending PHP.

dude, uninstall everything and do it from the smart way, install www.apachefriends.org, it will install webserver, php5, mysql5 all for you in 1 step.
pd: iis SUCKS use apache

try hassle free server configurations
one is xampp

install it and read the readme file or so.. then learn some basic php
