Dial-up sucks, man! When we first got a good computer about 3mo ago, we got Net Zero. That didn't even last one month and nobody could handle it in my house. We have cable now and it's like living in another world!

YES PEOPLE STILL USE DIAL UP. I FEEL FOR THOSE PEOPLE THOUGH. I HAVE ROAD RUNNER AND IT IS GREAT. THE REASON I SAY THAT IS BECAUSE MY FATHER IN LAW HAS DIAL UP AND IT TAKES FOR EVER TO GO FROM ONE PAGE TO THE NEXT. WHEN IT COME TO DOWN LOADING ANYTHING YOU MIGHT AS WELL FORGET ABOUT IT. I DOWN LOADED THE NEW VERSION OF MSN ( WINDOWS LIVE MESSENGER ) FOR HIM AND IT TOOK LIKE 2 HOURS. GIVE OR TAKE SOME. ON MY ROAD RUNNER IT WAS DONE IN NO TIME AT ALL. GRANTED THAT IS ALL HE CAN GET BECAUSE HE LIVE IN THE COUNTRY AND THAT IS ALL THAT IS AVAILABLE TO HIM. HE WISHES HE COULD HAVE SOMETHING FASTER BUT HE CAN'T. ANY WAY. BACK TO YOUR QUESTION. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM ABOVE THERE ARE STILL PEOPLE USING DIAL UP. HOPE MY ANSWER WAS GOOD ENOUGH AND HAVE A GREAT DAY.

I use DSL. however my brother is dial-up and so is one of my good friends. They must be living in the stone age! I have used their PCs and they are slooooow!

Yes. Did it ever occur to you people that DSL or Cable is not available in our area? That's why I believe all websites should have non-flash versions so that we that cannot get high speed can visit their sites. We have no choice here.

I do. I have SBC because nothing else is availiable. Not roadrunner or SBC DSL. Its soo slow. it only goes 26.4 KBs per second
