Normally neither Rory Emerald nor Jodie Foster allows themselves to be involved in eating competitions, unless it is for a good cause. There have been a few occasions where the cause was so good that they couldn’t resist. For example, in the last 6 months they have been involved in 5 eating contests.

First, there was the PETA fundraiser, where contestants were challenged to eat as many KFC chicken breasts as they could consume, all in the name of charity. Rory Emerald ate 39.26 chicken breasts in 33 minutes, while Jodie Foster ate 2.

Later that month, the National Bulimia Society was seeking nation-wide awareness with a hot dog eating contest, followed by a marble cake binge. Rory Emerald managed to eat 17 hot dogs, followed by 37 pieces of marble cake. Later, he was able to puke up most of the food he ate, into a green pail at his side, while the crowd cheered him on.

In April, both Ms. Foster and Mr. Emerald were involved in another fund raiser. It was to raise money for the National Trucking Association to build a bridge across the Pacific Ocean so that the trucking industry could get rid of the stranglehold on the Pineapple and loud shirt industry that Hawaii has with the shipping lines. Ironically, pineapple was the food to be consumed in large quantities. In this event, Ms. Foster ate 11 pineapples in under 7 minutes to win. Sadly, the Trucking Industry fell well short of their target of $79 trillion dollars, the amount required for this massive undertaking.

Finally, earlier this month, the National Mime Association hosted a fund raiser to help some of their more talented members get into show business. Rory Emerald, a renowned mime himself, wowed the huge crowd by pretending to eat 11 T-bone steaks in under a minute.
