I want to raise money for a trip to Africa?

My school and church is taking a trip to Africa, for many positive reasons and i really want to go but it cost $3000.00. Can anyone tell me ways on how to raise this money by Febuary 2007?

here are a few suggestions:
*car washes - always fun, charge five bucks, people won't mind getting it sprayed down for a good cause.
* ask churches of the same denomination - alot of times they have spare funs that can go to things like this
*bake sales - food, need i say more
* raffle - throw some stuff in a basket and have people by tickets. it is cost effective and fun!
* contact local bussness - sometimes they will give freely for good causes.
* restraunt night - some restrants, both local and national chains will let volunters serve drinks and give them 10% of the profit that night. sometimes they will just give you 10%.
* letter writting - write to frineds and family and you might be surprized what you get back

I took a similar trip. I sent out letters to tons of people telling them what I was doing (I was going on a mission trip to help orphans in Brazil). I asked for their prayers and support. I was pleasantly surprised that so many people sent me money that I had enough to pay for my trip, lots of spending money, and came home with extra.

Congratulations for wanting to go..
Some suggestions to try:
Ask to people in your church
need a temporary work to save money..A lot of little jobs in America.
And try to ask to your parents too.
I know there in USA some organizations donate a lot of money, you can try a big company. Good luck!

Sell on Ebay. You can sell just about anything there. You can raise lots of money by selling unused or no longer wanted items. $3000 is a snap.

You can raise money via a bake sale or prostitution, It's your call.
