my air pump makes a lot of big bubbles but i would like tiny small bubbles. do they make different size airstones for different size bubbles?

Is the air stone older? They disintegrate and create larger bubbles.
Is it buried deep in the gravel? That will create larger bubbles as well. Hide it behind a rock or plant without burying it. Then you will have smaller bubbles.
They sell switches to moderate the amount of O2- that may help.

yeh, just buy the really small airstones and you should be happy. why not try a filter with a air regulator, so you can control the pressure of the bubbles.
