alright. I thought that i was pregnant, but i wasnt sure since i did not take any test but my period was 2/3 weeks late so i figured i was pregnant. So today, i had a lot of liquidy discharge that was watery, and later i had a heavy period thats still continuing. What i was wondering is did i have a miscarriage? or is this just a really late period? what should i do next?

More than likely it is just a late period. If you are concerned that you think you had a miscarriage you need to go to the doctor, because I'm not sure what the watery discharge could have come from. I would advice you to go see your doctor because if you did have a miscarriage, it is important that all the matter left inside be removed; you don't want complications when you do decide to have a child..

Probably just a late period. Stress and other things can make you late. All they'd probably do if you did have a miscarriage is a D and C, which it doesn't sound like you need. If you were only 2 - 3 weeks late, I would't worry about it. However, I'm not a doctor so if you're really worried about it, get in to see yours.

It very likely could be a miscarriage based on if you have the following symptoms;
1) Late period -- which you have
2) your period is usually regular
3) Any sore breasts?

I would see a doctor and the will be able to confirm. If you are having a miscarriage it is importnat to see a doctor for them to confirm that you were/are pregnant and that everything is leaving you, and not part of it. It is also crucial if you plan on getting pregnant later in life.

Well, it does sound on the surface like you had an early miscarriage, but only a doctor's exam will tell you for sure. I think you'd still have some pregnancy hormones in your system that the doctor could detect with blood tests, plus he/she'd notice some changes during an exam. Definitely go see your doctor.

I doubt that was a miscarriage. Are your periods normally heavy? This has happened to me before when I've gone through stressful times - my period will start to be irregular.

If you are concerned, why don't you call your OB/GYN office on Monday and speak to your doctor or RN on duty.

Try to relax, take some advil, use a heating pad if you need to. You are probably fine.

Im sorry it happend, at least you werent sure. since it was so early you will not need a d and c if you are planning to try again make sure you take some good vitamines to build up your endomitrium,thats what the baby eats the first few weeks of life.good luck next time and dont worry it wasnt anything you did.

Could just be a late period, but see the doc to be safe. Skipping a period can be caused by stress, dieting, sudden weight gain. Get a check up to put your mind at ease.

Well it could be one or the other. I think that maybe you should go to the doctor's just to b sure. You can also take a preg test, because if you were pregnant and had a misscarriage it would still come back pos.

I had the exact same thing...was 2 weeks late (am never, ever late). Went to the doc - not pregnant - just under extreme stress. 2 days later my cycle started and the period was much heavier than normal....
