I want to learn ballet and everyone says I should go to the HBA but I am not sure if they just welcome and if I am allowed to go even if I have never had a single ballet lesson.

ADMISSIONS
Students are required to audition for admission into the main school (levels 1-7).

You can audition for level 1.

If it's an acedemy than you will be required to audition. Be sure you've prepared an audition.

If you want to 'learn' ballet than you probably need to start in a class.

Academies usually take already elite students to higher performing levels.

If you're really determined, find a private one-on-one instructor
to teach you ballet. You will pay dearly (money-wise) for it - but
if you want a ballet career, that's what you will need.

It may take awhile to get an audition, and don't hope for a private one. It will probably be a group audition and you will make the cut (or not make it - depending on your skill) to become a student there.

I don't think how many classes is imprtant but how GOOD you are. How can you be good if you have not had classes already?
Please take ballet classes for a few years first. When you're the
BEST in that class - ask your teachers opinion and ask for her advice on getting into an elite academy. Good luck!

Call them first. Come on and be realistic.
