The combination pill will probably make you put on weight. It is supposed to be the most effective pill for contraception and it might not give you lighter periods. There is also the mini pill which isn't as effective for contraception but if you put on weight with it, it will be slower than the combination pill. You should talk to your doctor anyway because there are a lot of other options available which might be more suitable.

As for clearing the skin, sometimes the pill can have the opposite effect.

Ok. Well first of all birth control doesnt clear the skin always. So why the pill? there are many other kinds of birth control. If you want you could try the pill, shot, nuvaring, and more. You dont have to get the pill there are many forms. lol I started taking the pill when i was 15, and I didnt like how it made me feel and it wasnt working, so I went off birth control after going off to high school. Then i started back on the pill just as i was leaving for college and i still didnt like it. Then now, I am on the nuvaring and I love it. Its easy and u dont feel it and you can have sex with it in. You wear it for 25 days and then u can either have ur period or put another one in and not have a period. Its great. But good luck on ur search and your decision on what kind of birth control you choose.

The problem with taking the pill - is when you have sex - is the damn thing keeps falling out - I suggest the combination pill - I here it is larger and won't keep slipping out - mind you if you use a Pritt stick (you know the glue) as well - then it should definitely stay in there - mind you it might be painful for your trick oh sorry I meant boyfriend !!!!

the depo is better than the pill as the pill only works 99.9% of the time but the depo works 100% of the time plus u have no periods but i think the best thing to do is talk to ur doc and don't worry, he won't tell ne1 if ur worried about ur mum finding out. also no having to remember to take the pill everyday.

You had better talk to you doctor. There are several kinds and you may have to try a few before you find one that agrees with you. Don't forget to have the doctor explain the bad side effects.

Number ONE!!! Please talk to your parents if you haven't already. They will be able to help you and they will probably understand.. I was on Ortho-Cyclen for 4 years, and it worked very well. You have to make sure to take it everyday.. All you will have to do is see your doctor, they will know which pill is right for you.. Good Luck and I hope this helps..

Pretty much any pill does all of those things. Talk to your gyno and she/he can suggest the perfect pill for you. I've been on Ovcon for years and really like it.
