Is it just me or am I the only one who hates sex in movies, TV, etc? Call me a prude but I hate sex scenes in films. In classic cinema, sex was always implied, never shown on-screen. To me, sex is something special and private, and it should stay that way.

Example: In the film "Gone with the Wind," Rhett Butler carries Scarlett up to their room in that famous staircase scene. The next scene shows Scarlet sitting up in bed feeling quite refreshed. That's how films should be; just let sex be implied and leave the rest to the imagination.

I agree. That's why I like classic movies.
They are more smart regarding the dialog too.
They put lots of sex to attract people curiosity but the movie lacks quality.

Funny how you chose the word "sucks" in your question.

Romance without sex is a lie that makes children believe in the stork and cabbage patch kids. Sex is hot, sweaty and somewhat embarrassing. That is part of the reason there is so little of it in cinema and on television. The romance is what is special, the sex is ordinary at best.

I'd rather see sex on TV than violence. But then again, I stopped watching TV altogether. Damn starburst ad with the giant ant. (shiver)
