Anyone else wanna kill Elizibeth for doing what she did to Jack at the end? I mean, sure, he did eventually jump into the thing, but did she really need to do that - not to mention Will saw her kiss him! And was anyone else expecting Jack instead of HIM to come down the stairs at the end?

I don't mean to come off as saying it was wrong that she kissed him. HELL, if I had the chance, I'd jump him as soon as I could. But she could have made sure it was somewhere Will couldn't see.

i really didnt blame Lizzie* for sucking face with him. Hell, hes one hot pirate.

Yes, she really did need to do that. The Kraken was after HIM and the SHIP, not just the ship. If he had gone with them in the lifeboat, the Kraken would have destroyed it, too, to get at Jack. Elizabeth actually saved everyone.
However, I do get the impression that E and J will end up together, in spite of what she did to him.
In re: the stairs at the end, I had heard only a few things about the movie in advance, one of which was that Keith Richard, as Jack's father, had a cameo in which he walked down a few stairs. So I expected it to be Keith Richard.

She is totally stupid!!!! But I think she did it 4 a good reason to chain Jack to the Pearl because i think she knows he wont die or will do the right thing in the first place. But to Kiss him in front of Will!! That was crazy and uncalled for!! I thought Captain Barbossa would come down the stairs because from the previews I knew he would show up someone but I thought 4 a sec. it would be Captian Jack Sparrow

Using feminine wiles is not evil. It was only accident that Will saw them and misunderstood. Elizabeth was wracked with guilt because she betrayed someone she liked, even though Jack had done a horrid thing. She left him to get chewed; I know -I'd- be damned guilty.
Will was afraid to talk to Elizabeth at all, because he thought the woman he loved didn't love him anymore, and was determined to not get in the way of Elizabeth's memory of Jack. In a way, it's good that their wedding got interrupted. Will and Elizabeth clearly have a little more growing and learning to experience before they can realize what true love is about.
And yes, I half-expected it to be Jack. I almost passed out in surprise when I saw it was Barbossa. I did keep wondering why he wasn't on the Flying Dutchman.

Yup! Really, that wasn't very nice of her. And i think Will isn't too happy about it either. Maybe she'll end up with Jack in the end. The compass thing kept pointing to Jack. And that pirate who was clunking down the stairs - i thought it was Jack too! Like a twist, you know.

I like totally agree with u about at the end thinking Captain Jack Sparrow would be taunting down those stairs...but about Elizabeth I still don't understand y she kissed him if she kissed him to distracted or to say good-bye i think that was tolerable...but i still felt SO bad for Will when that happened...ohhhh:(

To answer your first question, I was outraged! How could Elizabeth do that? Sure, he probably didn't die (because he is Jack Sparrow), but still! *****! And for the second question, when I saw his black boots walking down the stairs, I initally thought it was Jack - I thought, "How the hell did he get out of that one?" - but when HIS face was shown - I thought, "How the hell did he get out of that one?" and then the movie ended. I literally yelled out in the movie theater, "No!" I hate cliffhangers.

Elizabeth might like Jack, but she'll get over it in POTC 3 (not that I really want her to--cuz the Liz/Jack sounds nice).
To have Jack come down the stairs at the end would have been too PREDICTABLE.....having Barbossa instead was actually awesome.---Can't wait for the big finish!!!

Yeah, that totally pissed me off...almost as much as the end of the last star wars movie...and i seriously thought that was Jack coming down the stairs...

everything was good about the movie. the guy from the stairs in the end was a surprise.PotC3 coming May,07.
i love movies that are set in the past.
modern/present day movies are ok.futuristic ones suck big time.

I wanted to kill her.
i found her actions very whoreish and betrayal like.
That part made the movie horrible.
I had to clench my teeth so I wouldn't scream when I saw what she did.
