what kind of client, can they sit or is this a mechanical transfer? If you r in nursing school you better get ur t's crossed and i's dotted.

Well you have to tell the client what your doing and where they are going then you sit them up and turn their legs so that they are hanging off the bed. then you place a gair belt (support belt) around the client and make sure that its tight but loose enough to fit 1 finger. then you lift the client using the belt and them and place them into a wheelchair or what ever else they may need to be put in. but if they can walk then they dont need the gait belt they just need help sitting up.

Make sure the bed is at its lowest level possible, sit the client up, turn them and put some non-slide shoes on them, their legs should be hanging off the bed using a waist belt support them and sit them in wheelchair

you need to let us know what kind of client it is, can they walk, can they sit up with or without help, are they responsive, do you have to use a Machine to get them out of bed? need more info.
