staples, target, office depot, etc for the supplies

but for the backpack, get creative...

the options for "backpacks" are endless...
-in my area, many girls use bags and totebags for backpacks
-they are great because they take pressure off your back
-you can buy any kind, just make sure it is big enough to hold all
of your books and supplies, lots of pockets are good too
-you can buy two or more inexpensive totebags and change
them for the seasons
-or you could purchase a more expensive and durable bag that
you will get more use out of
-tote bags are everywhere, so get creative and you will have a
great and unique bag for when school starts

some places to purchase bookbags/totes
-try llbean.com
((they have great and reasonably priced totebags [boatbags]
which are made from durable canvas and can be monogramm-
ed and they come in a variety of colors. you can even add your
own personal touches. their classic backpacks are great too.
they are also durable and come in tons of different styles and
sizes to match every interest))
-try jansport.com
((visit their website for backpacks that are wonderful and lasting.
many of their designs have fun pockets and unique details. you
can also purchase their bags at many sports stores))
-and finally..........
EBAGS.COM is FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!
((every POSSIBLE type of backpack/tote around!! you can't go
wrong if you purchase from their site and for a summer sale
they have free shipping on orders over $35. they have every
style, every color, and are perfect for every price range))

i hope this helps!

I just got the LL Bean catalogue and you can go to their website and "create" your own bag with colors panels and stuff. Their bags are VERY durable and they have many styles. They have a buncha different backpack types (lots!) as well as messenger bags, which I think she would like better. (You can also "design" the messenger bags.) If I were in the market, I'd do that. I got my messenger bag at the Gap about 5 years ago and it has held up well.

Little Lady I for sure would not go to wal-mart or its twin sister target. You could go to The Gap, The Banana Republic, Old Navy, try these stores if you are looking for something good. If you want to go online and find it then try campmore.com or landsend.com. Campmore has some really nice daypacks for you to select from. Check them out. I hope this helps.

Forget where to buy your bag -- that depends on where you live. Think about what kind of bag you want. Go for Jansport! They have a lifetime warrenty, which means (if you live in the US,) you can send it in everytime it breaks and they'll either fix it or give you a new one for FREE! I got one in high school and I still use it 6 years after graduating. Get one that'll look good when you're older.

Since you are in High School now, you may just want to buy your book bag or back pack from your school with your school logo on it. Enjoy these years as much as you can and good luck in your studies

Well, going into high school, I think you are going to need a regular book bag. I got a really cute black polka-dot Jansport one at Tilly's. They have really cute prints for Jansport now, i think you should consider! =)
