I'm an Italia supporter, yes. I have family in Italia, I've been to Italia, and I love Italia. As a fan, however, I cannot dismiss what Matererazzi said to Zidane. Why? Because it is one thing to tackle somebody, one things to play hard to win the World Cup, and one thing to say things to demoralize the other team - especially in the final game. However, saying such things as Materazzi said to Zidane is too foul to accept. Not only did Materazzi betray the beautiful game, but he said such hurtful words as to make a living football legend end his international career with a red card - such a bad way to go. I respect the Italian team and I love the fact that they won the World Cup. However, I will never be able to forgive Materazzi for what he did but he is just ONE player out of many, many great Italians who have played this game the way it should be played. So, no I don't think the Italians, per se, play most unethically. You cannot and should not judge an entire team or an entire country based on the actions of one player.

I am an Italian fan and I would not "admit" that because it is not true. You will never make everyone happy with a WC as there can only be one winner, this time it was us!!! Everyone else will have another chance in 4 years. Zidane was the player in the wrong here. If you have ever been on a sporting field you will know that very harsh things are said. Zidane as an experienced player should be able to dismiss these things. Have a look at what was published in the German Newspapers about the Italian team, it was disguisting but the Italians said that words are like the wind, they just blow away... Dont think that Zidane is an angel, He has been sent off 14 times in his career, twice for headbutting and once for stomping on someones groin, OUCH! He is not strong mentally like other players or he has a very bad temper, one of the two

They won't accept the fact that they have two of the most cheating players around (Grosso and Materazzi) and also an organisational mafia that fixed this world cup for them. If one sees the italian media will know what I mean (advertising to play on the italian team as it is 'convenient' is one of them, as it is the advert of two people in heaven claiming that they (the italians) have won the world cup. Pure coincidence? Also the two only big teams they encountered throughout the whole world cup were only germany and france and they even found it hard to win against USA and Australia (which they had to win with a controversial penalty), but these things they prefer not to say them

We can't admit something that it's not true.

Some of us (including myself) may dislike Materazzi for what he did. It was stupid. But trash talking on the pitch is practised by every team. However, if Materazzi didn't say anything racist, but just something stupid about Zidane's sister or mother, the only "unethical man of the match" would be Zidane, who physically attacked an opponent -- and that's the most unethical thing that can happen during a game.
