i usely dont look at the name of the brand. if it fits and is cheap i get it. personally i think the generic shoes are just as good as the expensive brand name shoes.

I've gone with New Balance for over 20 years - mostly because they are the only brand that caters to people with wide feet. The current pairs have held up for about 2 years, although the soles are decidedly worn.
