Sex is sex. You need to have it when the time feels right. Just because you are a gay man doesn't mean you have to put out on the first date. If that is what you are looking for, or if you feel comfortable having sex on the first date of course it's okay. As long as it is mutal and safe it's more than okay.

It's all about when you feel ready. Personally, I would say the first date is too early...and things might possibly end there (the other person might think you were just interested in a one-night fling anyway and also if you've already had the candy, why waste your time going back to the shop?). Let things progress naturally and see what works for you and the person you are with.

Too many guys are just out for the one-night stand. He's not your man yet, you're not his, so no sex! Once you guys are pretty sure that you want to be seeing each other and nobody else, then start working into a sexual relationship at whatever speed feels right.

its common.... most gay men just want sex. Just go to a gay chat room. The conversations say '22yr old male wants to bottom tonight, PM me" and alot of peoples lives are just full of one night stands. I hate gay culture because you never know who wants to be your friend and who just wants sex, and who wants a meaningful relationship with you and who is using you for sex. People lie people cheat. Id say to find a good boyfriend, get to know him and wait to have sex. I just ended a great relationship with someone who truly loved me and was faithful. Im just afraid ill never find it again just because of how rare it is.

If you don't, you won't have another....this ain't Romeo and Juliette, and it ain't high school. Sex is one thing, romance is another. If the sex has no potential, why waste time on the romance....You are sounding very high school with this question. Get over it and get to it. good luck

my husband didn't even take them out on a date... he'd just sneak them home while i was working... until one day i forgot my lunch and drove home... NOW, we're divorced and he's pretending to like women again? ugh.
oh, and now that i'm done thinking of the past... ANYONE can have sex on the first date IF THEY WANT TOO!

The general rule of thumb (hmmm ... oh well) is 2nd or 3rd (BUT NO LATER!) like some have said.
BUT. BUT. Sometimes it is HAPNIN. 'n I say go with the flow!
Why would someone go back to the candy store? That's SO easy!

I wouldn't. It's like the principles of a straight relationship. Honey, you just need to have a little patience!
