I used a hair dryer to heat up the old film, and slowly peel it off. I used rubbing alcohol to clean the residue off the glass.

Use a heat gun to soften the glue, and then gently scrape the glue with a razor scraper. If you are trying to remove tint from a rear glass that has a defroster in it, take it to a professional tint shop. It is cheaper to have them remove the tint than it is to have the defroster grid, that you WILL damage, repaired!!

Just park the car in the sun and remove it when it will be hot, or use a hair dryer, but you need to warm up the whole window evenly not to crack it.

Peel it off and then use wd-40 to take the glue off.
