there is no tab under system for restore

Go to start, all programs, accessories, system tools and finally system restore. Click on system restore setting to turn off.
Easier way, go to control panel and system. Should be a system restore tab.
Finally, when in doubt, go to start and do a search on the name.

hi,
right now i'm not using win ME but privously i was used it & also i was turn off system restore on it.
You can just right click on My computer Icon-> goto Properties -> you can find here on tab a check box for disable system restore.
I dont know exect location it but I sure it is there.
