I am trying to teach myself intermediate algebra. I am usually very good at these things, however, at the moment I am have trouble getting started. If anyone can tell me of any study music/sounds that may help, or a technique to calm me down, or just anything that will get me started on this so I don't have to worry about it anymore. Please and ThankYou

Hey! Calm down take a deep breath and read the algebra book. If it is like mine was last year then there are section and chapter reviews in the back of the book. Once you read the section do some math problems on that section. Try your best. This year i'm in going into geomitry as a freshmen so if you have any questions i might be able to answer just email them to me at kcheergirl123@yahoo.com. Ok. Math is easy if you know the little shortcuts to it. Remember just relax you'll understand it. Read and reread if you don't understand.

I have to echo the comments of other people and say that you should just calm the heck down. If you're feeling overwhelmed, go back to the beginning and take things slowly one step at a time until you're sure you understand each part correctly. Music is not going to help you learn it any better, but if you really want to, put some calming music on in the background that doesn't stand out too much or distract you (i.e. classical music).

It is said that listening to classical music, will basically exercise your brain waves. Try sleeping with Beethoven playing lightly in the room. Also Ginko Biloba will help improve brain function. Take regular breaks and don't try workin' on it more than 2 hours at a time! It'll turn your brain to mush!!!

well friend first of all i would say do not worry at all.
algebra is very simple but you can go for it only with patience and cool mind.
just relax and search for an experienced person who can teach you it.
beleive me you would see the marvellous result.

You've got it easy!

Just do it.

read the book......read it again......read it again. Do you understand it yet? read it again. no music. no sounds. you and the book. nobody else. take that pencil out of your nose and concentrate.
