Before Saddam was taken he was killing thousands of people - but it was not in the news. Since he has been captured, we have found out about mass grave sites etc.

I wouldnt like to live there at all. Before, during or after.

However, I believe that when all is said and done - the people of Iraq will be more safe w/ him out of power.

Now, the news crews are allowed in - and of course - they report all of the bad things happening... however, we must remember - the media does not focus much on good.

There really are some good things going on over there... I just wish it would show up in the news.

Right now. At least as a citizen now I would know that I could vote and depend on some freedoms. I would not be afraid of a dictator that kills at will. My concerns would be terror attacks and insurgents, but I would be willing to ride out the storm for a chance to lead a normal life in a free democracy.

In Middle East, specifically in Radical Islamic region, "Democracy" is NOT possible.

Why, because they never had it. They don't even know the Taste of it!

If you try to put “Democracy” Hat on their head, will not fit.

The bottom line is "Democracy" is for more advanced civilized people who value "Law and Order" over "Religion".

An "Autocratic" person, who can control these people, “hard or soft” way to bring stability and prosperity, is more preferable.

Some particular disease needs specific "Medicine". US or UN never were the medicine.

Keeping Saddam on Power and putting “Pressure” on Him to bend him on his knee and finally bringing Him in the "Boat" was the "Final Solution".

In 100 years from now US or UN force can do nothing but will “bleed”. The way old USSR bleed in Afghanistan (Russian’s were killing machine but still failed), you know the rest.

Man's ultimate fear is "Death". People in there are seasoned with fear, destruction and misery for very long time. They are not afraid to "Die" now even. What can you do with them?

Pandora's Box is open now!
Too late to understand the mistake.
