San Diego things to do:

Sea World is more like an amusement park. There are more rides, and it's good for someone who doesn't have a great attention span (I'm not saying that's you, ok?!!!) If you have only 3-4 hours, you'll feel that you accomplished a lot.

Education-wise, Sea World has an obvious edge in the aquatic, marine life department. So, you have to factor that in if you like sea animals.

The Zoo has a lot more to offer, if you have more time. The Park is huge, and there's just so much more to take in -- not just animals, but plant life, two immense bird "cages", and yes, there are shows. Parking is free, unlike Sea World.

Outside the Zoo, you've got Balboa Park, with museums, the planetarium, space theatre, and nice restaurants.

If you are coming from the north (or staying in the northern part of San Diego), there's the San Diego Wild Animal Park -- and that's even bigger, with animals living in their own natural habitat.

Which one is better? Personally, I'd go with the Zoo. There are Sea Worlds in other states, along with other marine parks. But there is only ONE San Diego Zoo. Very few zoos in America compare to San Diego.

Go to Santa Barbara instead. The San Diego Zoo has way too many hills (with no animals to see on said hills). The Santa Barbara Zoo is beautiful ... much more like a garden than a zoo. However, watch out for the male lion because he has been known to pee on people looking at him! He has a really, really, loud roar too. Oh, and they have a giraffe that was born with a bended neck... poor thing!

It's the best zoo I've been to. It's alot of hills, and alot of walking, but it is the best... Plan to spend the whole day. It's huge!!!! And since Sea World is in San Diego, go there too.. Again, an all day trip, but worth it!

I've been there twice in my life. Both times were fun, memorable times. As far as Zoos go, San Diego does it well. Something a tad bit depressing about zoos though, not nearly as bad as circuses, but not natural either.

I love it there. I live in San Diego and I've been there more times than I can count. I used to have one of those one year pass thingys but I'm no longer a kid and I'm no longer a student so they're pricey.

If you go to the S.D. Zoo, you will NOT be disappointed.

Rancho Bernardo inn is providing a "Survivor equipment" for $19 a nighttime. yet, there's a seize: it is what you pay merely to camp out in a unmarried of their cabanas! if you're the adventurous variety, this would genuinely be form of relaxing. they produce different deals should you prefer to make your recommendations up on an really room. also, there are some "Recession deals" at Loews Coronado Bay hotel, yet those programs will fee more desirable than $100 (they're nevertheless tremendous deals besides the undeniable fact that).
