a new niece is bein born and my sister wants destiny and i want dulce, we just want the opinion of other people to see which one sounds better.

I like Destiny Damaris better, Im thinking because the name Dulce reminds me of candy in spanish and it just basically sounds kinda funny to me, but Destiny Damaris sounds very pretty and unique.

I am a woman who as a girl was privy to hang with the boys and that included "guy talk" both names will set the child up for a world of hurt. She will look be looked on as intelligent nor with she be taken seriously by the guy. both names set her up (in a guys mind) to be thought of as the girl to "score" with. It will be subconscious. Destiny's Child produced Beyonce who is a sex symbol and a bit on the trampy side. Dulce will make guys think of candy and all of the strippers and porn stars who are named candy and lump her in the same category.
I am not saying ALL guys think like this, just a lot. guys a visual creacher and both names will handicap her in the work force. inset of getting a CEO position she will end up as somebodies Secretary (no a bad job, just not the best) and if her boss has his way the next homewreker. I am not telling you (your sister) what to but do you really want her to go through life with "use me for sex" written on her forehead? It's a subconscious thing and men WILL "go there". Like I said I have been privy to some really mean guy talk and guys do not take girls named Destiny or Dulce seriously.

i think your sister has a good taste. Destiny Damaris sounds so much better. Dulce reminds me of a boys name and also reminds me of deuce or dunce. the sound of "dulce" just sounds like dull. i really am not fond of it at all.

well for starters its not your kid. and Dulce sounds like a boys name. i'd stick with Destiny

Too many "Destiny"s out there, and those Spanish speakers have a point about pronunciation and Mussolini. Maybe try Dulcy?
