I have been searching for jobs on Capitol Hill and I mostly see jobs for Democrat Legislative Correspodents, but I am a registered Republican. Any suggestions?

Why would you want to?

Sure. Go ahead and apply. No one says you have to be a Republican to work in a staff job for Republicans (well, Tom Delay might ...) or vice versa. The worst that can happen is that they'll say no, and you aren't out anything. Who knows, maybe you can be dragged kicking and screaming out of Rove's clutches :)
At the very least, if you get the job, you might learn more about Democratic philosophies, and teach the other staffers more about Republican ones.

An effective political strategist should be from the opposing side.
