He's got different chromosome situation than apes or humans. He walks on two legs a lot, prefers human company and other missing link stuff. Do a search and tell me what you think.

In 1997, genetic testing revealed that Oliver had 48 chromosomes, just like any other chimp. This eliminates the human-chimp hybrid theory, but does not rule out the possibility that Oliver might be a mixture of common and pygmy chimps or part of a new, unknown species. Oh, and he was captured in the 70's, not recently.

Oliver is not a recent discovery and reasearch has proven that he is a normal chimp with quite the eccentric personality. Unfortunately, he was trained by humans (ie smoke cigars) for a circus act. It was all media hype and one lawyer in NY trying to make a buck.
