i think these are like the express kind, they're made of that really nice clear plastic, not the white plastic that breaks easily.

I have two kinds of hangers: the wooden ones (I keep adding more whenever i go to the dollar store) and the kind you get from the dry cleaners but they all have a quilted covering that my mother did. this second bunch are the best but I don't have enough.

Well, I did have them all match at one time when I used to live alone. But you know, over the course of your lifetime, it seems to be impossible to get the same exact ones when you find you need more (which is why I've succumbed to basic white). So it seemed sensible to give up on the matchy endeavor.
However, I DO NOT keep store hangers (which clothing came on). I find them ugly and cheaply made (though I confess I haven't seen the pretty express ones...haven't shopped there for a while). If you do, before you know it you have a collection of ugly mismatched hangers that frustratingly break easily and the appearance of your closet isn't as neat.

All of my clothes hangers match. I buy the white tubular hangers that come 10 to a pack for about $1. I never keep the ones from the stores because they are cheap with the exception of the clear pant hangers and them I use to hang my wet pants or other clothes instead of using a clothes line.

Yeah...my clothes closet has all white plastic hangers for my regular clothes, pink ones for lingerie (because of how the particular hanger was designed...), and the coat closet has the nice wooden ones (so they can hold the heavier winter coats). I did that when I went through a big clean-out of things and thought it would look so much better. Then I got married...and my husband has like 5 different colors of hangers...so now I'm back to square one. :: sigh :: LOL

Nope, I have 3 kinds of hangers in my closet. The hangers I get from the dry cleaners I use them to dry clothes after washing. Prevents wrinkling and dries easily.

no. all my hangers do not match. i use different hangers for different items. pant hangers are very good for the slacks to stay looking good. also - other types fit the shirts better, so they do not slip off. so, if the hanger you get from the store is best for the garment, go ahead and keep it. if it is just a real cheapie hanger, it will probably break, so recycle it.

No but I've thought about it. Once I got all plastic hangers, got locked out of my car and could have used a wire one to open my car.So hey maybe both is just fine.Have a nice day.

Nope, they don't match. That's on my "to do" list. I usually don't keep the plastic ones they sometimes give you when you buy clothes from the store, they're too flimsy. I'm not sure what "express ones" are, maybe they're special.
