There has been a lot of answers for soundtracks that have previous recorded music. For original music for a movie, I like the soundtracks for "Taxi Driver" and "The Conversation". Good, jazzy, and moody.

i really like the "catch me if you can" soundtrack. it's a mix of tenseness and a lot of blues and sorrow. i think john williams is just a genius in general.
the "starsky and hutch" soundtrack is really fun. but in any case, i agree! the forest gump soundtrack is really beautiful
