Speaking from a mother's point of view ( i have 2 daughters) I would wonder why she says no. When my daughters hit that crucial age where leg shaving became an issue, I was all for it as long as they let me instruct them because if you're not careful you can cause injury. I see it as a personal issue for each individual. My oldest wanted to start immediately and the youngest could have cared less. If you feel this is an issue worth arguing about (nicely though) ask your mother why she won't let you then present your case to her as to why it is important. Good luck!

Are you a teenager or a pre-teen? If you are like 11 or 12, I'd see no problem. Anything younger, and I personally think you are too young. Give your mom some time and maybe she will come around. Don't whine or beg, b/c that makes moms even more mad. Be cool about it and maybe she will change your mind. Remember, once you start it's a lifetime chore! That hair never goes back to the way it was if you stop. It's bristly and they don't call it stubble for nothing!

The best way to go about this is to calmly, that's important, ask her her reasons why. Think about them, is it because she thinks you're too young, perhaps she's afraid you'll hurt yourself. What ever her reasons are try to see them her way. Then show her your perspective. It's difficult being a teen or pre-teen running around with hairy legs. Tell her how cruel other kinds your age can be. But more importantly be rational, it will get you much farther than whinging and being a brat would.

You could buy a razor and shaving cream yourself, and shave them. Use hot water, and get a good razor. Then, after you've done it, there's not much your mom can do.

you should do it secretly. take her razor and shave your own legs. its ten times more fun becuase its sort of illegal!
or just shave your whole entire body, eyebrows and all. this will show your mom that its better to shave your legs than you ENTIRE body, and will let you. i did it and it worked.

if you're under 13 she may think that the fluff on your legs isn't worth shaving yet as shaving only makes it worse. she may also be worried about you using razors. ask her about waxing

Tell her that there are other methods of shaving that doesn't involve with blades. Check it out at a local target.

Listen to her. She's your mom (Plus, shaving sucks! Put it off for as long as possible).
