Tristan and Isolda
very medieval though. Very symbolic, and very beautiful. With a sad end. Don't even try to watch a film because the only likeness to the book it has is its name. I think that the film was created for the americans because they dont have medieval history and wouldnt understand half of actions which happened in the book. But for any european Tristan and isolda becomes one of teh best loves stories ever written.

Truthfully, a fanfiction done by Icka! M. Chif, of the Detective Conan/ Magic Kaitou anime. "Shades of Grey" and "The Grey Zone" are composed of lots of really awesome short stories, tied together in the overall plot.
They aren't really sappy, nor porn.
However, would not recommend reading before you actually know the show it comes from and are familiar with Kaitou Kid/Kaito Kuroba and Hakuba Saguru and so forth... in other words, you'd have to do some research on DC/MK.

Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice. They're old classics but they are love stories with heart rather than sex.

Love in the Time of Cholera--it's about a couple who love eachother but never have the chance and it follows them from their youth into their 70s.
Jane Eyre--just a classic!

Right now... Must Love Dogs. It's a great movie.
Bridget Jones isn't bad either.. who wouldn't want a piece of Mark Darcy.
