in making it as hard as possible for the man to apologise ? sorry if that is too much of a generalisation but just speaking from experiance of my past experiances and those of my close friends

Because at times men treat us like we are "little women" that dont have a clue about things.. cars, driving, tools, ect ect.. and sorry but Mens egos get in their way.. how many times have u heard some women complain because their husband when lost wont simply stop and ask directions... so yep its almost an amazing phenomon when a man admits to being wrong..and its especially gradifying when a woman tried to tell her husband that he should do something one way and he totally dismissed her idea just to find out he should of done it her way in the first place..

Most women would love an apology, I think men feel that way because it makes them feel weak to admit that they had made a mistake about anything. I was married to a man for a long time and never heard the words I am sorry or excuse me and that just shows lack of respect. Now happily divorced.

I honestly believe most women do not take delight when a man admits he has made a mistake. I think it is the other way around it makes them see him in a new light knowing he knows when he is wrong and should say so.

its because we are proud that you actually think enough about us to apoligize and say your sorry.you all have a pride problem but when you let your guard down we love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
