The day you start your period is day 1, so 12-14 days after the start of your period. Ex: If you start on the 5th, you would ovulate around the 17-19th.

First off, You need to buy the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. Then after reading it go to www.fertilityfriend.com and start charting. It's not appropriate for me to tell you how to do this here b/c it involves a lot of things that some people don't need to know. Like Teens, who want to get pregnant to keep a boyfriend, or to get back at their parents. If you are serious about getting pregnant and are not some foolish teen who has no clue just how hard life gets when you have a baby, then please buy the book and chart. It's wonderful and very helpful. Every woman needs to read this book. Oh! You can get a cheep copy on half.com. Happy Charting!!!

www.mymonthlycycles.com
Its free to use and very handy. It will email you reminders of when your period starts and when you ovulating.
check it out.
I swear by it. I'm a stay-at-home-mom and my days all kinda run into one. so I find it useful for a reminder when my period is coming 4 days in advance so I can be prepared.Sorry, i don't know how to add the link

i hope you are married and both are ready. and your partner earns enough so that you can stay home to raise your child and not leave her with someone else to raise.

that said...approximately the week just before your period.
