There are 100 decileters in a millileter, therefore there are 50 deciliters in 500 mililiters. This isn't your homework is it.

how many deciliters in 500 milliliters?

5 deciliters.
a milliliter is 1/1000th of a liter, a deciliter is 1/10 of a liter (it works the same for all other metric units)

Nice question.

10 deciliters = 1 liter & 1 ltr = 500 ml, so do the math! It equals 5.
