Is silence of the lambs too much for a 14 year old to handle? I heard it was a gruesome movie and I might watch it in a half an hour on bravo...

The TV version should be ok for someone who is 14. The cut most of the gruesome stuff out.

some 14 year olds are very mature it really depends on the persons level of maturity not their age you could be 50 and not be able to watch silence of the lambs

It really depends on your mentality if you have seen movies with some gruesome effects then maybe you shouldn't watch it. but by the time you read this you may have seen it. SO tell me if you could handle it.

My neice is 5 and one night we were watching Halloween and we thought she was sleeping and she watched it when we didnt know & all she talks about is Michael Myers. In school, they had a thing where they had to tall the class what they wanted to be on Halloween & all the kids said Fireman,balerina,princess...she said Michael Myers! LOL! Shes over it, though.

I think it is way too much. I was 20 when I first saw it and it was too much! Lots of blood, gore and adult situations, I'd have my 14 year old pass. There's got to be something else on........pop in a dvd.

It is a disturbing and suspense-filled movie. It may be too much for a 14 year old.

They pull a bug out of a corpses mouth in an autopsy. They also skin women to make a skin suit for the killer. What do you think?

I would say not to let them. It's kinda gruesome more than scary. Lots of blood & murder & stuff.

It's not just scary but serious and about a transsexual. So, I think it might be a bit much unless the kid's mature.
