I definitely get nervous if I know a kiss is coming if it is not from my wife. She would kill me! Take you time and slow down while kissing. I think I speak for most women when I say that a slow meaningful kiss is much more effective than a wet, slobbery, fast all tongue kind of kiss.
Women like to be treated like the kiss they receive is more than just you trying to stick your tongue in their mouth. Slow and gentle at first and work your way up. Good movie line: A kiss is about you going 90% of the way and getting the other person to come the other 10%! (Hitch). Good luck and keep on trying.

it depends on if i find the other person attractive. if it's a blind date and i'm unsure of what to think of the person yet, yes i get nervous.
