I'm 14 and I had already started my period, and had had it for about 2 years, but then I started "dieting" and I no longer get it. I'm eating healthy (all the foods in the food group) and taking a women's daily vitamin, but I don't get my period. How do I get it to start again?

P.S
I don't want to gain any weight because I'm not really underweight

Sometimes this happens when you first start out. It is normal for it to come and go at first. But if you don't get it for a really long time since your last one you may want to see the doctor about it. I don' t think what your eating is affecting the way you have your periods. Just wait and while you wait try and enjoy not having one.

People who eat too little because they dont want to gain weight because they have a false impression of their weight . They think that their weight is more than normal when it actually is low. This state is called ANOREXIA NERVOSA.

Ammenorrhea or no periods can occur due to it and the only way u can get them back is by eating food. HOPE U DO.

You need to talk to your doctor.

It sounds like you have a hormonal imbalance.

You may have a condition called Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. It's a hormonal and metabolic disorder. If left untreated, it will cause infertility and lead to diabetes.

some people who diet or excersise too much don't get it anymore until they stop. you should stop and talk to your doctor, because this could be serious. you may need more calories in a day or you may be lacking nutrition. seriously consult a doctor asap.
