Yes and No. do you ride? Good. Never before? No. Gotta do it? Get a low power scooter. It's all you need to get around the area. Wanna hit the highway without experience? Tell me when you're going to be on the road....I'll take that day off.

Well, motorcycles, do get great gas mileage, and I know that is a major concern for people these days...

However, depending on your age, and previous driving record, a motorcycle might be a little more expensive. You will need to get your motorcycle endorsement so check with your local department of motor vehicles, and also, check with your insurance carrier (maybe even get some outside quotes) to see where you can find the least expensive insurance coverage.

Lastly, you will want to consider your geographic location. For instance, if you live somewhere where it is winter for over half the year, how useful do you think a motorcycle will be during the winter months? If you aren't geographically situated anywhere where the winter months carry on forever and ever, then you won't have to worry about that. =)

Cheers, and good luck with your decision.

not sure but a bicycle may be cheaper and less likely to be stolen. If you are just using it on campus. But if you are going to be driving around the area then yea it would be a good choice except for if it rains or snows. Then a car would be a better choice than a motorcycle.

No. A college guy living on campus shouldn't be riding around on a motorcycle. He should be in his room studying.
