Austin, Texas is a favorite. Depends on what you are looking for. For some, only New York City will do. Others want the open freedom of Alaska. Some people actually like Los Angeles.
I liked Sante Fe, New Mexico. Chicago is pretty great (other than the weather).

The best weather I've seen in the continental USA was the Central Coast of California...from Santa Barbara up to about Santa Cruz...I just can't afford to live there.

Think about climate and cost!
Every place here seems wonderful but you have to think about what you want.
This Country ranges from very hot to very cold and in between. The cost of living ranges the same. There are some areas that you have to pay $2000.00 dollars for the same space somewhere else that is only $500.00. (That was just New York City compared to Dallas, Texas).
It is a wonderful Country to live in but make a schooled decision!

Petal,Ms we are a small town but not so small that everyone knows everyone. 20 miles from a little larger town of Hattiesburg,Ms good food & shopping. 60 miles from the beach. 2 hours from New Orleans & Mobile in the other direction. Class A high schools & colleges all within driving distance. Florida is 2 hours away. We are called the freindly city. So many great things happen here it is to numerous to name.

Ok, in my opinion, Ohio/Michigan area is the best. The weather is more or less mild, no hurricanes to worry about, no tornadoes, you're close to the great lakes so you have cleaner water than some other states, and it's not all country or all city, it's kind of the best of both worlds.

Atlanta is cheap but becoming increasingly overpopulated. The other big cities are kind of expensive to live in, but the suburbs are nice. I could go on for hours about different cities, but if you are looking at anywhere in America, you have thousands of different cities to choose from so you can pretty much choose anything you want.
