hey..i sorta gotta a weird situation here. okay so i'm indian/american, just saying that, and like the spanish, we have lots of cousins, aunts, and all that stuff...yah so anyways, i was visiting india, and i met this guy, and turns i was related to him, like somehow his aunt or something...anyways, we kinda fall in love, i need help..and anyways, that was a couple of years ago, and we still stayed in touch, and the mail he sends keeps getting well, better and better, but i dno if he is interested anymore, cuz that was like years ago, maybe like 5 years ago, and now..well, i'm interested..but i dno, well, heres my question:

do i ask him if hes still interested////

do i even get involved///

is this totally wrong????????????

btw, we haven't done anything w/ eachother...but i need to know, cuz i'm going down there to visit again...soon, and i will obviously c him, but i need help, please help!

okay, for the people who are asking how far away i am from him...i am about like his 2nd or 3rd cousin..ugh, and yes, molly, i am interested, i don't want to break what i have w/ this guy, i wanna take a step further, but thats my question, 'if i should or should not do it...'

This isn't wrong at all. Incest is a broad word, and taboo only becaus of traditional biological restrictions. It is very possible that you share very little DNA with this man, especially if he is some form of 2nd cousin.

While you may wish to seek genetic counseling before having children, loving someone outside of your immediate family, but within your family happens to millions of people, and is only as wrong as you let it be.

I would recommend that you let the man know of your feelings. It is possible, and probable that he feels the same way. There are very few men who would maintain that kind of correspondance with a woman if they weren't interested.

When in a crowd start screaming about something small and insignificant like.. "F*** I BROKE A F***INGA NAIL!!" and go ballistic. Tell randoms they have nice legs and ask what time they open (really only works if you're a girl or else people think you are perverted), but if you're a dude ask them if it hurt when they fell from heaven. When in the shopping center, and an announcement comes over the speakers, (make sure you're in a crowded area tp do this) get down on your knees, cover your ears and scream "Its those voices again!" with a crazy face. Then get up and act like nothing happened. Stand in the line at the shops and act like you have turrets syndrome or talk to your self. Wear your shirt backwards and inside out and complain all day how uncomfortable your new shirt is to random people or your friends. Pour spaghetti sauce down a shirt that you don't like and walk around like nothing is weird. Go streaking Ask people if they have seen the time because your dog needs to be rushed to the nearest McDonalds for a lap dance, then when they look confused or say "what?" just say "Can I help you?" Before walking away without any other words from them. NOTE: You can only do some of these if you are capable of keeping a straight face and not scared of public embarassment. Have fun! :)

I'd say that your relative is really distant, so what the heck, so what what people might say. When it comes to Love, there is really no right or wrong. Search your heart, and let your thinking do the work. I*f it was meant to be, it will. I think your going to do whatever you want to do, but just be aware, if you do get involved sexually with this guy, expect to get a lot of flak for it. But, like romeo and Juliet, sometimes love is taboo, but they don't care anyway. Live your life, don't let anyone tell you what to do, just do it.

If like 2nd or 3rd cousins its not an everyday thing but ok I guess.

Are you prepared for him to be gay?
Are you grounded enough to be in a position to make a decision?
Are you aware that all of this may be fantasy or infidelity?

I think you should seek out an older trusted female family member that you can explain these feelings to and then find out how closely related you are....If could be completely by marriage or sooo far removed it doesn't matter..then you guys are free to hook up.

Couldn't hurt to ask him if he's interested still. However, it might not sit well with the family if they find out you're romantically involved with a family member.
