Are you a "shop all year" person or more of a "wait until the last minute" type? Or somewhere in between? Do you shop in person at local malls and other stores or do you do your holiday shopping online?

Actually a good question - The way we handle it is to wait until after the holidays when people talk about what they wish they had gotten. Then during the year, buy that thing and stick it on a shelf. Come the holdiay madness sales you can do what I do; Go to the mall to NOT shop and just sit back and watch the craziness!

Then come the gift giving season, you look like a hero for getting people "just what they wanted".

Yes. I'm a "shop all year" person. I know what I want to get for people at the end of the Christmas season and I spend all year looking. I rarely shop at the mall because it's a pain to go there with my kids. However, I'm an online, store and local mall shopper. I only shop when there's sales though...this way my money lasts longer and I'm not drained at the end of the year. I'm usually done "Christmas shopping" in October.

For years I waited until the last couple of weeks of the season to shop for my family and friends. It got to the point that I just didn't feel like I made good choices. Any gift is to be appreciated just because you thought of someone, but it seemed like I wasn't putting much thought into any of the gifts I gave. So two years ago I began buying in August and this year I've been shopping off and on (when I found a sale or had some extra cash) and I've completed buying for all my nieces and nephews (which are many). I love shopping at the stores instead of shopping on line though.

I'm a shop all year person due to my budget and I do some online and some at malls. I love to find the best bargains. I never wait until the last minute, no way not with those crowds!

I shop for Christmas all during the year and where ever I may be. I catch great sales and put them in a big box. Around the end of November, I just pull the box out and think who would get each gift and wrap. This way you don't have to spend a lot of money all at once....NOWAY am I out during that Christmas traffic. I sit back and laugh at everyone who is running around at the last minute trying to get shopping done....

I shop in person, and online. I never Christmas shop this early, even though it's a good idea. The only thing about doing your Christmas shopping this early, is that if the person you buy the gift for, wants to make an exchange--they won't be able to...?

Since in my family only the children get gifts (we adults don't buy for each other) and I only have two nieces I usually just pick up what I need anytime I see what I want on sale. My husband I will shop for after September.. if I buy something too early and hide it he may buy it himself before then and then I'm stuck returning it.

Shop all year. I buy everthing off clearance racks and save them for Christmas or birthdays or just a day when a loved one needs a lift.

i actually have this year. I went to the outlet mall in Birch Run, MI and they had their sidewalk sales. I got so much GOOD stuff at really great prices. And now I don't have to worry about last minute gifts.
