My grandson fell out of his crib 3 weeks ago. My daughter is afraid to leave him alone in his room. We need to find a mesh round gate that can be put around the mattress. Where can we find this gate?

He uses the side rails for climbing. Mu daughter watched him do it the next time that almost got out of the crib. Her peditrician told her just to put the mattress on the floor and buy this round mesh gat system that would surround the mattress.

Everyone is right, that mesh is not a good idea. Baby proof his room as much as possible and transition to a toddler bed. Baby Gate off all of the rooms in the house so that he can't get into anwhere dangerous and keep a baby monitor on at all times.

If the mattress is already at the lowest level, then the only thing you can do is put him in a toddler bed. My daughter is 15 months old and has been sleeping in a toddler bed for a while. Hers has a half rail so she can't roll out of bed very easily (while sleeping), but can get out when she wants to. If he's big enough to climb out of the crib, he's big enough for a toddler bed. And at least if he falls off the bed it won't hurt him like it would falling from a crib.

if your grandson fell out of his crib at 11 months it sounds like a few factors are at play here . . . 1. set the mattress at the absolute lowest setting 2. remove everything from the crib at night except his blanket . . technically, he is still too small to be sleeping with a pillow. Having things in the crib gives him something to stand on . . . You can purchase a canopy that attaches over the top of the crib (it looks like a tent) that zippers shut so the child cannot get out of the crib until mom or dad retrieves them . . . He is far to young to be transitioned out of the crib so don't take that step . . . Additionally, if she doesn't have one, I would suggest having a monitor at all time on so she can leave the room but know when he is stirring .......

Lower the mattress to the lowest level. Make sure there is nothing in the crib for him to stand on. No pillows or toys. Anything you put around the crib can be hazardous.

If the bumper pad is still on the crib it should be removed right away. You also need to make sure the mattress is set as low as it can, if the mattress is hooked on the lowest setting and there is no bumper pad that should do it if not it is time to put him in a toddler bed.

make sure the mattress is low, then make sure there are no large pillows or stuffed animals in the crib that he could use to climb out. put the gate of the crib at its highest level, and just in case, line the floor near the crib with something soft.

if you put a mattress on the floor then a gate wouldn't be necessary. If the baby is climbing out, then it's definitely time to get rid of the crib.
But if you insist on having a gate of some kind, I would look at Babies R Us. They may have what you are looking for.

I would say its time to get a toddler bed or lower the mattress area if possible. Most cribs do lower...and/or railings higher. I had this happen to me when my oldest was 7 months old, she pulled herself to standing and flipped out of her crib, I didn't think that she could do that.....but she did....she did get hurt, but no damage...so I would safely say its toddler bed time or lower the mattress area or higher the railings.

Once a baby can climb out of the crib it is time for a toddler bed. It may be rough for a while getting him to sleep but with a little patience you will acheive your goal. If you keep him in the crib he may fall and hurt himself. All those contraptions to keep him in are not worth it as he will need a toddler bed soon anyway. Don't listen to the fools and tie him in either as the ties may get him tangled and strangle him. He is a big boy now treat him as such.

Take the mattress out of the crib and put it on the floor for him to sleep on.
