My favorite memory is just the relaxed atmosphere when people took time to talk to you, time to sit on porches and drink lemonade, when things were unhurried, music was more lyrical and meaningful, there wasn't as much crime or violence, you could buy more for your money, you could go in stores and shop and not just have 1 Walmart to shop in cause they ran other mom and pop stores out, less pollution, less global warming, more butterflies.....so many memories. I remember it as being so much more relaxed, people were kinder.

Late 60's, early 70's. Coming out of theater in NYC after seeing Hair on Broadway. People handing flowers out on the streets. A sense of purpose. Peace signs that meant something. Janis Joplin. Woodstock. Fire and Rain. Boonesfarm strawberry wine. Peasant shirts. Harry Chapin. John Denver singing in the rain at the Bloomburg Fair. John Lennon. Imagine. Hey, Jude. Tie Dye. Hare Krishna. Lava lamps. The end of the Viet Nam war. The end of Tricky Dick. Candles in the Rain. People cared, people loved, people lived. It was all good then.
