If your refrigerator is over ten years old, chances are you won't be able to get the part from GE unless they are still making the same model.
Look around for a local appliance dealer. They usually remove old appliances as a service to their customers and you may get lucky and find your model in their boneyard.
Another option is to have a local glass shop make you a new shelf. This will probably be the most expensive option.
Good luck with your search.

Try the GE web site. It should list replacement parts by model number.

Try the website and also look at the refrigerator warehouses that sell refurbished refrigerators. Sears has a warehouse that may have that for a good price.

Try Sears web page. They have a parts section where you search your fridge model and shows a diagram with all available parts for sale.
