What activities do you do in the summer? Swimming? Hiking? Indoor activities that include what? And if you have kids, how do you keep them occupied inside on hot days that have a heat index too high to go outside?

Make ice pops, orange juice in ice cube trays with popscicle sticks or toothpicks.freeze them... my son loves doing that. go to the library, the movies, matinees are fairly cheap. We go to the pool in the morning as soon as it opens and swim for a couple hrs until it starts getting too hot. Do you have video games? My son and i play games together on the computer. Yahoo kids has alot of good kids games.Make up stories use your imagination.

i don't fight the heat of summer anymore then i fight collecting a small lottery win of $143.00...i am serenely delighted and smile at it like any good luck that comes this way. Eastern Canada spends half it's time in cold temps. People around me moan and groan - i say BRING IT ON MAN! Enjoying the heat is a no brainer!

Activities? I am a bit lost there, i don't do anything that shows how much i love the outdoors....except, if i am eating out ....opt for the outdoor patio!! I think i have lots of friends but maybe i am anti-social!!

I usually take the kids out early morning to run around and release some of their energy until about 9:30 10:00, because by then it too hot to be outside... they usually watch a DVD until lunch and after lunch we either play games, crafts, color, etc. for a while then maybe another DVD or cartoons, until we can go out again around 4:00 to swim...

Well...with kids: put some music, let them dance around: or paint... or cooking with them, something refreshing...
not too much tv and food.. that will make them too lazy.
