I mean really! Q is always followed by U and sounds like kw so it really is not needed
and that damnable C sound like S or was that the K sound I was supposed to say? Tricky little thing that C is!
I would support the changing of the "-aught" and "-ought" to awt.
"OO" like door to single "O" and "OO" like food to "U".
Poor O! He is really overworked!
Any other changes we should make?
Remember this is for fun, I do not really want to change the language.
Or do I?

I actually read an article about this on Yahoo!. There are hundreds of people who want to change the english alphabet and writing because it one of the most difficult of launguages to master. They mentioned how hard it is on the youngsters in school learning it now. Hell if we could, they can!
They pretty much want the new system to look like internet slang!
plz, may I hav a peece ov ur cooky?
How about no!
I must agree though that whoever came up with the letters and spelling was drunk.

We could also eliminate the silent initial letters like knife, knight, pneumonia, mnemonic. And how about introducing 5 new vowel symbols to denote the long sound (or the short sound, whichever). With a specific symbol to denote the long vowel sound, we could eliminate the double vowel pairings and silent e at the end where "the silent letter makes the vowel say its own name".

Personally, I would rather drop the K and keep (or is it qeep?) the Q, because Kevin is such a lame name, and I think a Q would improve it to Qevin.
But that's just me...

W should be eliminated, too many syllables, and it reminds me of Bush.
