This is a great question and I wish I knew the answer 38 years ago. My husband is at his mothers as we speak. He left for her house 2 hours ago and took his work clothes with him. It is now 10pm and he starts work at 3am. He loves her very much and ignores me. From my own experience with 2 sons, I love my boys very much but I wouldn't want them to do to their wives what he has done to me.

Some of them really do have a hard time I know. Boys are easier to raise then girls. They don't have all the upheavel that the girls do with their moms. It's way different.
They do need to cut the cord tho when they marry. This is why is says in the Scriptures "a husband will LEAVE hims mother and father and CLEAVE to his wife. The woman is'nt told to do this, because it's more important for the man to leave his family and make his bride and kids his priority, not his parents.

I really don't think that husbands ever stop being sons. I'm on both sides I have 2 sons and have a husband. From a mother's point of view, my sons and I have a great relationship we talk and get advice from one another however we don't butt in on each others lives unless the need calls for it. On the other hand my husband can be at times a little childish but he loves his mother and if she steps out of line he will put her in her place. Not a very good relationship between me and her but we both deal with it.

they are not all Momma boys. My hubby loves his Mother and frankly I'm glad he is close to her. Guys that love their Mother are generally good men who love and appreciate women.
Nothing worse than guys who don't respect us!! However there should be a good balance as to how much he admires you vs. his mom....

Only for my self....she lets him do anything that he wants to. I had to call the police the other night....he hit me and I went flying over the table...he is now at his mom's house. He had my truck re-poed. Now I am getting kicked out of my house. I have no options on what to do....but he needs to pop her titty out of his mouth and let him be a man...

I don't know any guys that fit this label. From my experience, it's the wives that have too-close relationships with their mothers. They are afraid to 'cut the cord' so to speak.

If they are in a marriage alone or with kids they see their family and it probably reminds them of their family life where they find solace in their mothers, because remember they still need their mother's attention aswell as their wife's.
